Coca-Cola is to return as the official soft drinks partner of the Premier League, having penned a three-year deal that will kick off from next season.
The partnership would “bring supporters closer to the action” via exclusive fan activations, centre circle experiences and competitions to win tickets, said Coca-Cola. It will launch for the 2025/26 season with an on-pack promotion in stores across the UK and Ireland.
The sponsorship would be activated across multiple brands in the Coca-Cola portfolio, including Coca-Cola Original Taste, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, Powerade and Smartwater, according to Coca-Cola.
Coca-Cola was previously the official soft drinks partner of the competition from 2019 to 2022.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with the Premier League, the most competitive and compelling football league in the world,” said Javier Meza, Coca-Cola’s president of marketing in Europe. “Football and the Premier League are global passion points, and we look forward to uplifting fans and making their experience even better by bringing them closer to the action.”
Rob Yeomans, vice-president of commercial development at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners GB, added: “Coca-Cola’s brand purpose is about bringing people together, and that’s exactly what happens on match days. This partnership is a brilliant opportunity to connect with fans through the drinks they know and love – and we know it will drive sales for retailers.
“With the Premier League’s incredible reach and our portfolio of much-loved brands, we’re well-placed to drive meaningful impact for our customers while creating memorable moments for consumers.”
