Scottish salmon producer Loch Duart has expanded into smoked salmon.

The smoked salmon lines include Signature Smoke and Double Smoked SKUs.

The Signature Smoke is traditionally cured and smoked over oak shavings, which provides a “subtle smokiness” and a “delicate flavour”.

The Double Smoked is smoked over oak and then whiskey cask shavings to create a “robust, full-bodied smoky flavour”.

The products are high in omega-3 fats (EPA and DHA), providing greater health benefits than many smoked salmon products, the brand said.

“Loch Duart’s new Signature Smoke and Double Smoked varieties are a premium offering for discerning chefs, restaurants, and food lovers worldwide,” said Chris Orr, sales director at Loch Duart Salmon. “Developed in collaboration with master smokers in Scotland, each version is carefully crafted to enhance the natural eating qualities of our fish using just two natural ingredients – our exceptional Loch Duart salmon and pure sea salt.”

The new lines are available in 100g retail packs and a 1kg-1.5kg side of smoked salmon for foodservice.
